Welcome to Charki Safaris. These Booking Terms and Conditions govern all safari bookings, tours, excursions, and travel services arranged by Charki Safaris. By making a booking with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Please read this document carefully before confirming your reservation.
At Charki Safaris, we are committed to providing safe, reliable, and memorable safari experiences throughout Kenya and East Africa. Our Booking Terms and Conditions are designed to ensure transparency, fairness, and peace of mind for every traveler.
A booking is considered confirmed once: A completed booking request has been received. The required deposit has been paid. Written confirmation has been issued by Charki Safaris. Until confirmation is provided, no reservation is guaranteed.
To secure your safari booking, a deposit may be required at the time of reservation. Standard Payment Schedule A deposit of 30% to 50% may be required depending on the safari package. The balance must be paid before the safari departure date as specified on your invoice. Some flights, luxury lodges, and special promotions may require full payment at the time of booking. Failure to make payments within the specified timeframes may result in cancellation of your booking.
All safari prices are quoted in the currency stated on the quotation or invoice. Prices may include: Accommodation Safari transport Professional guides Park entry fees Activities specified in the itinerary Government taxes where applicable Prices do not include services or expenses specifically listed as excluded. Charki Safaris reserves the right to adjust prices due to: Government tax changes Park fee increases Airline surcharge changes Currency fluctuations Supplier rate changes Any applicable changes will be communicated before final payment whenever possible.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Cancellation charges may apply based on the notice period before departure. Typical Cancellation Charges More than 60 days before travel: Deposit may be refundable less administrative fees. 30 to 60 days before travel: Partial cancellation charges may apply. 15 to 29 days before travel: Up to 50% of the total booking value may be charged. Less than 15 days before travel: Up to 100% cancellation charges may apply. Specific cancellation policies may vary depending on airlines, lodges, hotels, and third-party suppliers. The cancellation terms stated on your booking confirmation will apply.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed after deducting: Supplier cancellation charges Banking fees Administrative costs Non-refundable service charges Refund processing times may vary depending on payment methods and supplier policies. Certain flights, park fees, and promotional bookings may be non-refundable.
If you wish to modify your booking after confirmation, Charki Safaris will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request. Changes may include: Travel dates Accommodation upgrades Additional activities Passenger information Additional charges may apply depending on supplier policies and availability.
It is the responsibility of each traveler to ensure they possess: A valid passport Required visas Vaccination certificates where required Travel insurance documents Any other entry requirements for the destination Charki Safaris is not responsible for denied entry resulting from incomplete travel documentation.
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travelers. Insurance should cover: Medical emergencies Trip cancellations Travel delays Lost baggage Personal accidents Emergency evacuation Travelers are responsible for arranging their own insurance coverage.
Guests should inform Charki Safaris of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, mobility limitations, or special needs that may affect their travel experience. This information helps us make appropriate arrangements whenever possible. Travelers participate in safari activities at their own risk.
Accommodation descriptions, photographs, and facilities are provided in good faith based on information supplied by hotels, lodges, camps, and resorts. Occasionally, accommodation providers may alter facilities, services, or room allocations without prior notice. If circumstances require, Charki Safaris reserves the right to substitute accommodation with a comparable alternative.
Charki Safaris uses professionally maintained safari vehicles and transportation providers. However, travel in remote destinations may occasionally be affected by: Road conditions Weather conditions Mechanical issues Government regulations Reasonable alternative arrangements will be made whenever necessary.
For fly-in safaris and domestic flights: Flight schedules are subject to airline changes. Luggage restrictions may apply. Soft bags are generally recommended. Airline terms and conditions apply. Charki Safaris acts as an intermediary between travelers and airlines. Airline schedule changes, delays, or cancellations are beyond our direct control.
Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Safari experiences take place in natural environments where animal movements are unpredictable. Although our guides work hard to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities, sightings vary depending on: Weather conditions Animal movements Seasonal changes Natural environmental factors No refunds will be provided based on wildlife sighting expectations.
Charki Safaris shall not be liable for circumstances beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to: Natural disasters Severe weather events Political unrest Government restrictions Pandemics Airline disruptions Strikes Security concerns In such situations, alternative arrangements may be offered where possible.
Charki Safaris acts as a tour operator arranging services provided by third-party suppliers including: Hotels Lodges Airlines Transport companies Activity providers While we carefully select reputable suppliers, we are not liable for: Injury Loss Damage Delays Accidents Acts of negligence by third parties Participation in safari activities is voluntary and undertaken at the traveler's own risk.
Travelers are expected to: Follow guide instructions Respect wildlife and local communities Comply with park regulations Behave responsibly during travel Respect accommodation policies Failure to comply may result in removal from activities without refund.
Photographs and videos taken during safaris may occasionally be used for promotional purposes. Guests who do not wish their images to be used should notify Charki Safaris in writing before travel.
Any concerns should be reported immediately to your guide or Charki Safaris representative to allow prompt resolution. If an issue remains unresolved, written complaints should be submitted within 30 days of travel completion. We are committed to addressing concerns fairly and professionally.
Personal information provided during the booking process is handled in accordance with our Data Privacy Policy. Information is used only for: Processing reservations Arranging travel services Customer communication Legal and operational requirements We do not sell or misuse customer information.
By confirming a booking with Charki Safaris, you acknowledge that: You have read these Terms and Conditions. You understand your rights and responsibilities. You agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. You accept the policies governing your safari booking.
